Official Opening of Brussels Showpiece at
Millstreet Country Park.
Millstreet Country Park is delighted to unveil a “spectacular new water feature” – adding to its existing number of visitor attractions.
The showpiece constructed at the Park is a replica of the original Mont des Arts, built in the central square of Brussels in the early years of the 20th century.
The Belgian Ambassador to Ireland Mr Robert Devriese will perform the official opening ceremony and switching on of the cascades at Millstreet Country Park on Sunday 30th August 2009 at 5.30pm.
The day of celebration will feature the Duhallow Choir, resident pianist and all usual park entertainment and attractions.
This is truly a world class feature with stunning architectural magnificence and historical splendour which can be admired from its delightful surrounding gardens and is a must see for all visitors both to and from the region.
Joining the Ambassador for the occasion will be the Minister for Education and Science Mr Batt O Keeffe TD and Former President of the European Parliament – Mr Pat Cox.
