Guided Walks this Season.
Due to the phenomenal success of the Millstreet Walking Festival and, our Category C Guided walk last month, Millstreet Country Park has scheduled a guided walk each month for the coming season. Please see dates attached in Calendar of Events!  Each Walk will take a different route and guarantees a new experience each time!

NEXT WALK.

A Category C Guided Walk is scheduled for this coming Sunday 29^th May.
Guided walk will include information on the background and history of Millstreet Country Park, the local geography and geology and lots of interesting nature facts about the diverse flora and fauna here at Millstreet Country Park.  The 500 acre estate is also home to a number of original historical and archaeological features which date back to the Bronze Age and these sites will also be explored on tour. This Guided walking tour is only €5 per participant with no other additional fees or admission charges applying to participants. This tour will commence at 11am from outside the visitor centre and registration is necessary!

June Bank Holiday Weekend
Looks like Summer is Here guys..... and our Mid Summer Bank Holiday Weekend at Millstreet Country Park is brimming with family fun ideas and entertainment for all ages. Live Musical Entertainment by the Diamond Sisters Sunday 5^th June on the Outdoor Bank Stand in the Music Garden from 2pm! Lots of entertainment for the kids too! NEW ‘Experience the Wilderness’ Program will be tried and tested Sunday 5th June and lots of FREE Children Fun and entertainment both Sunday and Monday including Duck Racing, Face Painting, Tug of War, Fun Races ect! So why not come along and join in our host of activities.

Guided Safari Tours of the Estate will be available offering excellent viewing opportunities of the new born deer which are now out and about on the paddocks for all visitors to admire. Safari Tours are available to all guests daily and are ideal if visiting parties have young children or less agile guests.

 Millstreet Country Park offers miles of exhilarating walks for all category of enthusiast. The grounds are also ideal countryside for cycling too! So why not bring your bike along!

Easter at Millstreet Country Park

Easter is fast approaching here at Millstreet Country Park and the Easter Buggy is sure to hop into Millstreet Country Park and over Mushera and is certain to leave plenty of Easter Eggs and Easter Surprises! Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday have historically been a favourite family day here at Millstreet Country Park.

Lots of fun for the whole family including Easter Egg Hunts in the gardens, and throughout the trails and Herb Rick Meadow. Duck Races, Fun Races, Face Painting and so much more! Activities commence at 12noon with a Monster Duck Race!

Easter Eco, Nature & Craft Camp

New for 2011. MCP will run a special Easter Eco, Nature & Craft Camp this year from Tuesday 26^th April – Thursday 28^th April. Suitable for children up to and including 12years. Participants can partake in one, two or all three days of this camp. Pre booking is essential and discounts are available for three or more children. Prices include food or catering options. Time: -   12noon – 4pm daily.

Cost: - €20/ pupil per day.

€50/ per pupil for all three days.

€5.00 discount if child is a Season Ticket Member.

€5.00 discount if booking 3 or more children

Millstreet Walking Festivals Planned C walk is scheduled within the grounds of Millstreet Country Park. This walk is estimated to take between 2 – 2.5hours and incorporates a number of the Parks suggested walking trails and interestingly has a number of historical and archaeological features to see along the route while at all times surrounded by the most picturesque scenery Musheramore Mountains have to offer. This is a guided Walking Tour and will commence at 11am sharp. Registration for this walk and others will take place at Millstreet Country Park from 8am where the restaurant will be open. Millstreet Country Park OPEN DAY – FREE ADMISSION

Millstreet Country Park will re-open for its 2011 season on Sunday 3^rd April and for Mothers Day! To celebrate the beginning of our new season and Mothers everywhere Millstreet Country Park will host an Open Day and everyone from the community and surrounding areas are welcome and encouraged to visit!

A special Mothers Day Menu will be available from our Cafe / Restaurant; there will be Musical Entertainment in both the Visitor Centre and the Band Stand!  Guided Safari Tours of the Estate will be available throughout the day also.

Advanced Booking is Advised For Mothers Day Lunch as to avoid disappointment and ensure seating at your preferred time!

So Bring your Mum! Bring a Friend! Tell a Friend! Everyone is welcome and there is NO ADMISSION FEE for this day! So try somewhere different for that Sunday Drive or for that Special Mothers Day Lunch!
